Post Tax time...
I love paying 25,000 in Federal witholding and getting 2,000 back....
Even better was the 5500 in CA state and ending up having to pay an additional 583....

Could be worse, but it's still painful. At least I don't owe Federal.
What a way to ruin a perfect Sunday :x

You're exactly right.
I get fukd for being a single male with no dependents. I contribute 10% to my 401k and put $250 a month into my Roth IRA and am left with a nominal amount to live on each month..all in an attempt to lower my adjusted gross income so I don't get nailed at tax time...imagine if I didn't contribute, I'd really be fukd!
